Environmental Policy for Classroom365

Classroom365 is committed to environmental stewardship, recognising the importance of protecting the natural environment while conducting business activities. In line with UK environmental regulations and standards, we aim to reduce our ecological footprint by responsibly managing our resources and operations.

Policy Objectives:

  1. Recycling Initiatives:

We will actively promote recycling internally and amongst our customers and suppliers. We shall facilitate the recycling of ICT-related hardware through certified recycling companies to ensure compliance with the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive (WEEE Directive 2012/19/EU) as transposed into UK law.

  2. Legislative Compliance:

We shall adhere to all relevant environmental legislation at local, national, and international levels, including, but not limited to, the UK Environmental Protection Act 1990, the Carbon Reduction Commitment Energy Efficiency Scheme, and the Climate Change Levy.

  3. Sustainable Materials:

We will strive to use materials that are recyclable and environmentally friendly in all our operations as stipulated under the EU’s Ecodesign Directive (2009/125/EC), ensuring products are designed with energy efficiency and reduced environmental impact in mind.

  4. Reducing Carbon Footprint:

We encourage the use of public transport by our staff to decrease pollution and carbon emissions, in line with the UK Government’s encouragement of public transport use to reduce traffic emissions and meet carbon reduction targets under the Climate Change Act 2008. 6. Continuous Improvement:

The company will engage with employees to generate innovative ideas to enhance environmental performance, allocating the necessary financial and human resources to implement sustainable practices effectively.
